St. Philip’s College, founded in 1898, is a comprehensive public community college whose mission is to empower their diverse student population through educational achievement and career readiness. St. Philip’s College is a vital facet of the community, responding to the needs of a population rich in ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic diversity.

St. Philip’s College, one of the oldest and most diverse community colleges in the nation, is the only college to be federally designated as both a historically black college and a Hispanic-serving institution. 

At St. Philip’s College, you can choose from a wide range of fields and complete most Associate of Applied Science degrees in two years. Many degree plans prepare you to transfer to a four-year institution without loss of credit.
