November: Gratitude, Growth, and Getting Your Vote On!

Hey FocusQuest family! November‘s here, bringing fall colors, cozy vibes, and that unmistakable holiday excitement in the air. While you might be dreaming about turkey (or tofurkey) dinners and holiday plans (we don’t blame you!), let’s talk about making the most of this special month.

First things first: VOTING! Early voting is happening right now through November 5th, leading up to Election Day. This is your chance to make your voice heard! Take a tip from one of our community members who carefully reviewed their sample ballot, making sure they understood exactly what they were voting for. That’s critical thinking in action! Ask questions, verify information, and make informed choices. Your vote matters!

Now, while the holiday season‘s magic is starting to sparkle, remember to carve out dedicated time for your studies and projects. Yes, planning trips home or to other exotic places is exciting, but keeping up with your academic commitments now will help you enjoy those breaks even more. Trust us on this one!

Speaking of gratitude (it is the month of Thanksgiving, after all), let’s take a moment to appreciate the gift of education. As Maya Angelou wisely said, “When you learn, teach. When you get, give.” Your journey of learning isn’t just about you – it’s about how you’ll use that knowledge to make a difference.

And hey, while you’re working hard, don’t forget to have some fun! Maybe start a study group potluck tradition, or challenge yourself to write a paper using only turkey puns (okay, maybe don’t do that last one).

From all of us at FocusQuest, we wish you a November filled with learning, growth, informed decisions, and of course, a very Happy Thanksgiving! Remember, we’re grateful for YOU and your commitment to education.

Now, go and enjoy these last 6 weeks of the semester… and save us some pumpkin pie! 🦃📚
